Permission Form (mandatory in order to participate):

I, the parent/legal guardian of ___________________________________ give permission for my child(ren) to participate in the Walton Senior Youth Tube-a-Palooza Kick-Off Event. I understand that there is an inherent risk in taking an inner tube down a river. I will not hold Walton Memorial United Church, it's staff, or volunteers responsible should an accident occur in which my child is injured. I also give the leaders permission to make medical decisions for my child in case I cannot be reached.

so i am sitting here with a friend's kid and starting to realize that in a couple of months i am going to have a small human in my life that i have never met before. it is surreal to realize that there is another human entering the world. a human with gifts and flaws, likes and dislikes, heroes and enemies. this is going to be a human who will have issues [because of me probably] and weaknesses and who will have his/her heart broken. i can't believe another human, a human that will impact other humans and possibly the world [who knows? it's possible]. and this person is going to learn their morals and history and life and lessons from...me.

and then i remember that this human is also loved by God. i realize that Jesus loves this child and died for this child. and i feel better.
