WELCOME TO WALT'S HOUSE

faith. we are a faith community. walt's house is a collection of people trying to understand how the life of a Jewish peasant named Jesus and later called Christ impacts us today. this is not a group of people with all the answers but we are trying to ask better questions. we admit that we can't all agree on the same things but we are trying to live out the implications of what it means to be faithful.

family. we are not a traditional family and most of use are not even biologically related (some are). but we believe that we are connected spiritually and that makes us a family of God. we believe this has profound implications for our community. we cannot let our brothers and sisters suffer in isolation. we believe that we are called to care for one another both here and around the world. we are not strangers, we are neighbours. we are not simply people that go to the same church, we are family. because of Christ and through Christ we are in community with each other.

so, welcome to walt's house. if you are looking for a place to worship God, pray, learn about the Bible, meet other people, get involved in various social justice events or simply ask questions come and check out what is happening in the house.

worship services. we have two Sunday services: one at 9:30am which includes a Sunday School from age 0-grade12 and a more traditional 11am service. Our mid-week alternative worship service-called immersion-takes place in our hall every Wednesday at 7pm. For more information about the church building or to listen to sermons online see the walton memorial united church website.
